Christine Williamson, Partner; CohnReznick

Ms. Williamson is the government contracting advisory practice leader specializing in government contracting for over thirty years.  She manages many areas of the advisory practice to ensure quality and efficiencies, delivering projects on time, hiring resources, providing the proper technical regulation and standards knowledge in FAR, DCAA, CAS, GAGAS and GAAP.
 
Her experience extends to providing financial attest services as well as accounting advisory services for a variety of sizes and types of clients.  She is a hands-on, highly involved partner delivering solutions to complex issues centering around government regulations. She is also extremely knowledgeable in structure, mergers and acquisitions and advises clients on financial and operational challenges and opportunities.

Christine also has experience with various accounting software products and often serves in an advisory capacity for companies interested in customizing and incorporating systems to be compliant as a government contractor. Christine pioneered the annual GovCon Lunch and Learn Series, in its 14th year, and launched the GovCon Academy teaching government contractors a variety of subject.  She is the author of the GAUGE report, 8th edition and is the Chair of the VA Society of CPAs in addition to sitting on several other Veteran and Philanthropic Boards.

When it comes to retirement plans John firmly believes that America is facing a national crisis with the shortfall of retirement savings, with highly compensated executives facing the largest gap. He works with plan sponsor clients to enhance the participant outcome by conducting a retirement readiness analysis segmented by age and income, along with automated plan solutions and sophisticated investment selection. By working together with John, plan sponsors and plan participants have the ability to make great strides toward achieving their retirement goals.
 
John’s commitment to the government contractor marketplace is demonstrated by his industry involvement. He is a member at the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum (SECAF) and participates on the Membership Committee as well as The Washington Area Compensation and Benefits Association. John is a member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. He also co-hosts regular educational events with government contractor practice groups and local accounting, legal and M&A firms. Heaton was appointed to the Small Business Administration’s Investment Capital Advisory Committee and is an active member of both Women in Defense and the National Veterans Small Business Coalition. She publishes in Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Washington Business Journal, Alabama.com and regional outlets around the country.
 
Ms. Heaton has been associated with the global law firms of Skadden Arps and Latham & Watkins and has served as Senior Counsel on the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, General Counsel and Deputy Staff Director of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Previously, she was Deputy Counsel of a Fortune
500 company operating in ten states.
 
Ms. Heaton holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School and a B.A. from Barnard College.
